4 Month Appointment and First Trip

Happy Summer! We have had such an eventful and fun few weeks. Sean took his first family vacation! We had the wonderful opportunity to go to Mackinac Island in Michigan for our friends wedding. Congratulations Jenn and Travis (Mr. and Mrs. Bruns)! Maegen also had the honor of being a bridesmaid and had so much fun spending time with her closest friends from college. If you haven't been to Mackinac Island we highly recommend trying to get out there someday. It is a beautiful island located in Lake Huron, at the eastern end of the Straits of Mackinac. The entire island is a National Historic Landmark and is well known for its numerous cultural events. There are no motor vechicles so it is a biker/walker's dream. One of our favorite things was the numerous lilac bushes on the island. So pretty!! Sean was an AWESOME traveler! He slept the entire way on the plane (the pressure change did not seem to bother him) and was all smiles during the week. He had to endure a plane ride, a 2 1/2 hour car ride, a ferry ride, lots of walking, and a carriage ride and he still was happy!

Sean turned 4 months old on 6/22/09! We just had his 4 month appointment yesterday since we were traveling last week. Here are his current stats:

Weight: 15 pounds, 9.6 ounces --- 50-75%

Lenght: 26 1/2" --- >90% He is one tall boy!!!

Head: 16 1/2" --- ~50%

Dr. Linda was super impressed with his developement. She was even joking that he needed to slow down and not grow up too fast!! That is what mommy thinks too!! The only concern was that his left hip is clicking which could be a sign of hip dysplasia. She isn't overly concerned at this point but did give us the order to get a X-ray.

HeHeHe....Jay is going to kill me for posting this but I just wanted to show what someone looks like after a day of traveling with an infant.
